Nathalie Anguezomo Mba Bikoro is a visual artist, independent curator and Lecturer of Visual Cultures and Intersectional Black Feminist Literature. Their work analyses processes of power & science fictions in historical archives critically engaging in migrational struggles, queer ecologies, revolt and colonial memory through alternative narratives and future speculations of colonial resistance movements led by African women building towards new monuments which react to the different tones of societies shared between delusions & ritual. They are Artistic Director of Nyabinghi Lab in Berlin and Founder of Mobile Squat Museum in Libreville introducing new practices in archives and live arts, forms and interactions at the intersections of urban and rural spaces on the role of museums in re-thinking traditions and colonial historical heritage.
RESEARCH
The project “Black A(n)thena” opens alternative narratives and future speculations of colonial resistance movements led by African women and its diaspora and indigenous communities. Sedimented in narratives of testimonial Black queer experiences of sonic botanic archives, revolt, queering ecologies and postcolonial feminist experiences towards new monuments which react to the different tones of societies shared between delusions & ritual.
