2005 -
오스트레일리아  (AUSTRALIA)
The COMIC ARTS AWARDS of AUSTRALIA (formerly known as the LEDGER AWARDS) have been organised to acknowledge excellence in Australian comic art and publishing. The awards were first held in 2005-2007. After a hiatus, the Awards returned in 2014 with a new structure.
The nominations and awards are for work published and events held in the calendar year, January 1 to December 31.
The Comic Arts Awards of Australia are a fully independent initiative. It is non-profit. It has no affiliations or links with organisations, businesses or other parties outside of sponsorship. From 2018, a committee consisting of previous Platinum Award recipients was established to decide each year’s recipient. Previously, the recipient was decided by public vote (2005-2007), or by the Organising Committee after consultation with the Judging Panel (2014-2019).
Platinum Ledgers are awarded to an individual or organisation presently active in the Australian comics publishing scene, who best represents the ideals of the Awards. The recipients need not be directly involved in publishing or creating comics, so the field opens up to include scholars, journalists, bloggers and podcasters, event organisers and the like, as well as creators and publishers.
