발루아즈 아트 프라이즈 Baloise Art Prize

Art has been an important part of our lives since time immemorial. Art visualizes our thoughts, dreams and visions. That is why art enriches our lives with color. For 20 years, the Baloise Group and Art Basel have given young artists the opportunity to present their works in the Statements sector at Art Basel to an international jury, which awards the coveted Baloise Art Prize.

The Baloise Group has been involved in the visual arts for several decades. In 1999 it substantially expanded its art sponsorship: the focus of its activities is the Baloise Art Prize, which is awarded to two young artists every year. The two prizes, each endowed with CHF 30,000, will be awarded in the Statements sector at Art Basel by a jury made up of international experts.

The commitment to art sponsorship includes prize money, purchases of works, grants for art statements and museum exhibitions by the award winners with a total of around CHF 250,000.00 annually. Baloise's longstanding commitment to promoting young artists at Art Basel has attracted great international attention. The list of prize winners is long. Many award winners can now count themselves among the prominence of the international art scene.
